The airport is close to Manhattan, though the
lack of a direct connection to the subway is a glaring omission from what is
otherwise a comprehensive transportation system. I have always been able to
check in and clear security very quickly, though there are often long queues on
the tarmac for takeoff, given the fact that the two runways cross, meaning that
departing aircraft need to wait for arriving planes to land. Airside, there
isn't much in the way of facilities to keep you busy while waiting for your
flight. There are four separate, unconnected terminals (many of which are
further divided into piers) all of which have their own security controls. If
you happen to connect through LGA (which is uncommon, since it's primarily an
arrival/departure airport) you will likely need to clear security, and in some
cases (e.g. mainline Delta to Delta Shuttle) have to take a bus to the entire
other side of the airport. The airport is highly prone to delays, but in my
several trips to LGA, I've been lucky and all my flights have been on schedule.

This is the
company I drive for. Today I did 2 jobs, the second one I picked up from
JFK International Airport, the man

was nice, the
whole way he was on the phone and telling everyone that he is in a
cab from J. F. Kennedy Airport to
Greenwich, CT. So I get my GPS going and
off to the I95 north we go. Still on the phone calling this and that the whole
way to the church, where he met his lovely other half.

This is the
company I drive for. Today I did 2 jobs, the first one I took to JFK
International Airport, the lady asked that I should help her with the
luggage, I said like always "sure", I went up 3 flights no elevator! Heavy
luggage, "can you put these coats in the car please? "sure" I replied. We drive
off to the airport. When we arrived I
opened the door and got the luggage out on to the curb, she asked me if I can
show her how to use the baby carriage she bought her grandchild on the other
side of the world. Hmmmmm I said "sure"

No, it's not over,
I leave JFK Airport and get on the
highway and get a phone call telling me she forgot her coats in the back seat of
the taxi. I said "sure" I will be right
back at your terminal. I called her when
I arrived and she said " there is one person ahead of me at check in, please
wait for me". I said "sure" . 20 minutes have gone by and then I get a call I am
waiting outside she said.

I give her her
goods and wish her a safe flight, she
said " I would like you to pick me up when I return " I said "sure".
